12 days of Christmas

12 Days of a Cleveland Christmas: Day 4

Congratulations to Joe in Wooster for winning yesterday’s contest and the Tribe prize pack. Strange, no votes for Chisenhall yesterday. A few for Andy Marte though.

In case you’re new to the contest, here’s how it works-

Every weekday from now until Christmas Eve, we will give away a Cleveland themed prize. To enter, you need only to respond in the comment section in the appropriate manner. The winner each day will be randomly selected and notified by email. (Which means you better make sure that the email address you use to comment here is a legit one.) I cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas. Some of the prizes (like tickets) haven’t even been printed and mailed to us yet. We’ll do our best with the things we have in hand though. Only one member of a household can enter each day, and only one winner per household during the length of this contest. Just spreading the love around.

Today’s Prize

Today’s winner will get a Cavaliers prize pack, including a copy of Joe Tait: It’s Been a Real Ball by Terry Pluto and Joe Tait. (Thanks to Gray and Company Publishers.) As well as a pair of tickets to an upcoming Cavaliers game.

Worth playing for? Of course!

Last year the Cavaliers finished the season 19-63. This year, with a reduced 66 game schedule, how many wins will the Cavaliers finish with and who will be the team’s MVP?

I think we boost our percentage slightly, but not our total, as we go 17-49 and end up with a top 7 pick.

Vaejao is our MVP until he gets traded a couple weeks before the deadline for two young players with potential (not stars, but guys like Roddy Beaubois, Paul George, Aminu, Bledsoe, etc.) and a late first round pick. After he’s traded, Omri Casspi steps up to the scoring plate, averaging 17 points a night and dropping SF to #3 on our off-season priority list.

  • Brooklyn Cavalier

Last year the Cavaliers finished the season 19-63. This year, with a reduced 66 game schedule, how many wins will the Cavaliers finish with and who will be the team’s MVP?

Despite the 16 fewer games than last year, I see the team winning 23 games for slight improvement as all the young blood is given plenty of minutes in order to see how the organization stands with its talent. I can’t imagine Kyrie being too impacting in his rookie year, even John Wall wasn’t stellar his rookie year, Anderson Varejao stands the greatest chance to being the most important piece to this team as long as he isn’t sent out for draft picks before the trade deadline.

  • Lauren

Last year the Cavaliers finished the season 19-63. This year, with a reduced 66 game schedule, how many wins will the Cavaliers finish with and who will be the team’s MVP?

The Cavs will go 21-45 and Kyrie will be our MVP for dishing out all his dimes. Can’t believe I’m almost 30 and had to use a calculater to figure out 21 minus 66.

Ill go with 19 wins and hopefully Irving proves to be worth of the number 1 pick winning at least team MVP if not ROY.

  • Chad

Last year the Cavaliers finished the season 19-63. This year, with a reduced 66 game schedule, how many wins will the Cavaliers finish with and who will be the team’s MVP?

24 Wins, welcome back Manny Ramirez. Irving will be the team MVP. Baron Davis if he doesn’t get amnestied.

  • Colin

Last year the Cavaliers finished the season 19-63. This year, with a reduced 66 game schedule, how many wins will the Cavaliers finish with and who will be the team’s MVP?

The Cavs will start off slow but eventually feed off the young guys. They will win 19 games led by the team MVP, ROY, and future superstar Kyrie Irving. Thompson will also show promise as the Cavs get another high pick in the draft and get ready for next season to make the playoffs again.
