Week 16: The Browns Will Win If…
December 23, 2011WFNY Top 10 Cleveland Sports Moments of 2011: #8 – The Baron Davis Trade
December 23, 2011Congrats to G-Money who was randomly selected as the winner of yesterday’s drawing!
Last day of the giveaways! Everyone here at WFNY hopes you have a great holiday spent with family and friends. Be safe.
As always, here is the way the contest works-
Every weekday from now until Christmas Eve, we will give away a Cleveland themed prize. To enter, you need only to respond in the comment section in the appropriate manner. The winner each day will be randomly selected and notified by email. (Which means you better make sure that the email address you use to comment here is a legit one.) I cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas. Some of the prizes (like tickets) haven’t even been printed and mailed to us yet. We’ll do our best with the things we have in hand though. Only one member of a household can enter each day, and only one winner per household during the length of this contest. Just spreading the love around.
Today’s Prize–
Let’s finish with a bang. Today we’re giving the winner a pair of tickets to see the Indians and a pair of tickets to see the Cavaliers!
Today’s question–
Simple question today. Which Cleveland team is going to break the streak and deliver the city it’s first championship since 1964- the Indians, the Browns or the Cavaliers?
Comments must be posted by midnight Cleveland time in order to qualify for the drawing. Check back tomorrow at noon for the results. Remember, only one entry is allowed, but you may still comment to add to the discussion.

My heart says the Browns. My head says the Indians will catch fire late in some season in the next 12 years and ride it to a championship.

I think it will be the Indians, and I really hope it is in 2012. they had a strong start and faded out towards the end of last season, but it was a young team that learned and developed together. If you make the postseason anything can happen, and I think they have a good shot to do it this year.

the only team who has a FO that has developed multiple players who have ended among the elite at their position the past decade, play in a sport where one hot streak at the right time can mean a championship, AND play in a yearly winnable division.
Yeah, the Indians it is.

I wish I could say the Browns, but nothing in the last 12 years has inspired any confidence…I’ll go with the Tribe because of a few of our young players and solid pitching. All it takes is getting hot at the right time, and one bad game doesn’t end your season.

I think economics will hinder the Indians and the market hurts the Cavs. The playing field seems to be most level in the NFL, so I say “Browns”. That doesn’t mean I expect it to happen during my lifetime…
Which Cleveland team is going to break the streak and deliver the city it’s first championship since 1964- the Indians, the Browns or the Cavaliers? I would love to say the Browns but I have to say the Tribe has the best shot with the CAVS being the second shot in the dark the browns just seem way to far off

The Tribe is the closest to championship-caliber. The rotation and bullpen are loaded, the middle infield is looking good, the outfield has plenty of talent if oft-injured. Should enough of those guys play to their potential and LaPorta/Chisenhall/whoever do a decent job holding down the corners, the Cleveland Indians could be champs in 2012 or 2013.

Hopefully one of them before I die. Best chance at this moment is the Tribe…

I’m not sure the Cavs or Browns will be competitive in the next half-decade, so I’m going to go with the Indians. Hoping their prospects all hit gold in the same year.
