Browns Injury Update: Peyton Hillis, Montario Hardesty Active and Expected To Play
November 27, 2011Browns Fade in Second Half to Lose in Cincinnati
November 27, 2011Coming off their first win in a month, the Cleveland Browns travel down Interstate 71 to face the Cincinnati Bengals in the “Battle of Ohio.” The Bengals are 6-4 and looking to stay in the AFC playoff race after a critical road loss in Baltimore last week. This is the first week of a particularly rough final stretch of the schedule, as the Browns have 5 division games scheduled during the holiday season.
Both Browns running backs, Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty, are active and expected to play. AJ Green is also active for the Bengals. For all your preview needs, check out our regular Friday “Browns Will Win If…” feature. Spend your afternoon with us and leave your comments here as the Browns look to improve to 5-6 under Pat Shurmur.

Kiss of death…
CBS proclaims Cleveland to be ‘in the hunt’.
agreed bobby. Even Mike Adams would’ve been a better matchup there. Gresham is a weapon, can’t cover him with 4th string safety
I’m with ya Harv barring some bungled coaching blowing the game. Then I’ll probably be upset again. Definitely a watchable product today. But I’d love to see us hold on for the W.
Hang in there boys. Let’s not prepare to lose.
And then there was Colt…
@101 I thought the same thing
COLT MCCOY LOST US THE GAME, HE COST US OUR PLAYOFF CHANCES, WE SHOULD HAVE TANKED THIS GAME FOR LUCK!!!
Jabaal was held like mad right there. How do they not see that?
Sheard got held there on 3rd down but no call. Andre Smith is having a really tough time with him
Andy Dalton = Scut Farkus
….yellow eyes, he had yellow eyes.
ugh, Gocong horrible route on the blitz, took himself right out of the play on their pass for the first down. We need an impact LB stat (have they called the name of our erstwhile AFC def player of the month today?)
On the other hand Rubin is having the game of his life. Hustling like it’s the first quarter.
The Bengals figured out Dalton only has about a 2 count to unload the ball on slants, fades and TE throws underneath. We’ll see if the LBs and CBs are up to it.
seems pretty clear to me that even though this game is similarly close to the first game of the year, both of these teams are playing much better in this game.
Now it’s time to finish.
Hillis doesn’t trust his legs at all or something. He’s been AWFUL on the outside today.
any other freaking qb thats a roughing the passer
Cmon defense. Time to step up!
That wasnt roughing the passer
Nice time for the D to force a 3 and out. Cmon Cribbs.
Damn Gocong.
There is probably gonna be a nice crop of MLBs in the draft this year.
our D must have the most drops in the league
Our D has to be the worst at consummating potential INTs. I’d love to see a stat about how many INTs we’ve left on the field this year.
Nice play by Rubin. But cmon gocong. Make the int when you get two hands on it.
Let’s go offense! This is a season-defining drive coming up.
No protection and a sack on 3rd and 3. Yep, that pretty much defines the season.
lauvao is killing me… he had the best seat in the house there
Wow! Lauvao got absolutely burned on that one. The offensive execution Must improve. The Browns have had some drive killing drops in this game. A WR upgrade of just 1 legit playmaker would do wonders for this team.
Lauvao needs to be given the boot. He is just getting worked. Let Greco finish this game up. Now we need the D to come up big… maybe catch a ball if it hits their hands.
There’s your first bad play call. 3rd and 3, shotgun, empty backfield, with a healthy Hillis.
Shurmur acting like he’s the smartest guy in the room again.
C-Bus- so would some better protection. A RT and putting Steinbach at RG might do that.
Rubin is a monster.
I think Hillis is probably fatigued after the first half. That’d be understandable and might explain the empty backfield on 3rd and 3
Nice job Hagg. Still he shouldnt be on Gresham… but good play.
great coverage by Hagg, nice to see the kid redeem himself a little
@Bobby
Agreed. Mostly referring to the Cribbs/Norwood/Little drops throughout the game.
Hillis just makes this team so much better.
his agent’s best scenario – browns look terrible all year…Hillis gets healthy and McCoy actually has time to throw. Browns look good.
Let’s see a 10 play, 4 minute touchdown drive to cap this day
by the way – i’m serious about the Browns making the playoffs. with Hillis healthy we can run the table.
Awfully quick whistle on that Hillis run there. Dontcha think?
nice to see them pounding hillis down the middle rather than doing any more of that outside stuff… he’s just too slow today for that
One more first down will do it. On your feet Browns fans!!!
How about spelling Hillis with Ogbo? Looks like Peyton’s legs are dying. Shurmur looks like he’s losing track of his player’s conditioning level.
EVERY single sweep and screen to hillis has been a massive failure. TERRIBLE play call. and I am not one to complain about play calling.
Now is the time Im ok to play for the fg. If we kill the clock and get a fg, im ok with it. a 1st down lets us do that, but I wont be surprised if we run Hillis 2 more times after the 2 minute warning here.
(I was strongly against it a few weeks ago).
thats PI right there. BS!
AGAIN WITH THE SNAP!!!
Clements is all over Little interfering. That’s got to be a penalty.
Stupid… so so so stupid. 55 yards, into the wind. I know he’s got the hot foot, but wow hubris is hurting us…
damnit
Super important 3rd down right here…
gotta say: as much as i love Dawson, you can’t kick a FG there. Into the wind and over 50 yards needs to be punted. let the D hold em.
Wow. Finding ways to lose.
