June 17, 2009Eat It TMZ: Kobe Rocks His Own T-Shirt
June 17, 2009That’s the question you have to ask yourself if you’re a betting man.
Sportsbetting.com has the over/under for the number of LeBron James MVP awards by the 2019-2020 season set at 4.5
The “under” right now is at (-120) with the “over” at (-110), so there’s a slight tilt against James achieving this feat. And given the way that the NBA hands out the MVP award over the last few seasons, I would have to agree. It seems that we’re in a day in age where we factor in who is “due” and how much longer someone has to win one than we do who is the most deserving.
Plus, as Vegas Watch adds in on top of the boredom factor, who’s to say that he (gulp) isn’t injured for a portion of a season? Only three other players in the history of the league have won at least five MVP awards. Does James have the ability to become the fifth? Sure. But given today’s climate, I’m bordering on “not likely.”

There’s too many lebron haters out there for him to be able to get 4 more … at some point the voters will try to look else where even if he deserves it
But man wouldn’t it be great …
I think if he gets a low post presense and they start rippin championships off left and right, he wont win the MVP…they will be more complete of a team that doesnt need LBJ to dominate night in and night out…(and yes i know im probably dreaming of championships in CLE, but cmon, its all we as clevelanders have!)…i think if he is forced to shoulder the team for another year or two, he will win another 1 or 2…but if we get charlie v, or check that, ANYONE that is a beast downlow…i think LBJ will be able to pick and choose when he turns it on…
I think DWade will end up being an MVP next year, as well as (inexplicably) dwight “crybaby” howard…it was painful to watch him think that physical blessings would equate to a championship…im not a fan of Kobe, but I’m glad they won…also, having a supporting cast is why Kobe wasnt the MVP this year…probably still the best overall player in the NBA, but LBJ is very very close…another year and LBJ is the best…especially with a big man and a taller wingman…

as long as he’s wearing cleveland across his chest it would be.
A lot of it will depend on how many wins the Cavs get in the regular season. The main reason LeBron won it over Kobe this year was because of stats, but the main reason he won it over D-Wade was because of wins. Further, the main reason he lost it a year ago was because the Cavs did not have enough wins. So if the Cavs start not caring about the regular season so long as they get a top 2 or 3 seed in the playoffs, maybe that will hurt his chances. Otherwise, we know that he is going to put up the stats and if the Cavs keep winning 60 games a season, how are they not going to give it to him
