NBA Injury News: Garnett Could Miss Entire Postseason
April 16, 2009What’s Wrong with Rafael Perez?
April 16, 2009Mark Sanchez’ name has been floated as a player of interest for the Browns, among others. Right or wrong, and whether or not he ends up being a Cleveland player, Sanchez is learning a lesson from two current Browns, Brady Quinn and Joe Thomas. Quinn is obviously the cautionary tale, and Thomas is the lesson. As you all remember, Joe Thomas decided not to attend the draft, opting to go fishing with his pops. Brady Quinn got all dolled up with some arm candy and his fall down the draft charts is now famously gut-wrenching. Mark Sanchez is having none of it.
He has decided to sit comfortably at home with friends and family. ESPN cameras might be on hand, but even still, they will presumably be on his turf instead of theirs. While I am betting Sanchez doesn’t have the same Tom Petty “Free Fallin’” afternoon in his future, he is smart to stay away. Honestly, what does he have to gain from sitting around in really nice clothes in NYC? There are no extra bonus endorsements. Maybe an appearance fee or two. Other than that, unless you have negotiated your #1 deal ahead of the draft a la Mario Williams, you probably should just stay away.

Unless you’ve been guaranteed by a team in the top ten that they will take you if you are there, there is no way I would go … the chances of you slipping are too great at that point a la Quinn and Aaron Rodgers
Andre Smith would be the one that even if invited should go fish for awhile to stay away from football (like he stayed away from the combine for that matter)
Personally, I’m hoping that Smith does show up, but his his combine uniform.
I wonder why Brady dropped so much? It couldn’t be that he’s not an NFL-caliber QB, could it?
That just can’t be, I mean, he’s handsome, charismatic, works out a lot, and grew up as a Browns fan in Dublin, Oh, which is apparently right outside of Cleveland.
What a joke!
One more time, the Quinn infatuation is the strangest chapter in Cleveland sports history.
+10000000 to ELOCK.
Perhaps Quinn is clean-cut, and Sanchez is dirty.
