While We’re Waiting… Pat White Gets a Tryout, Dwyane Wade to the Line
March 24, 2009Browns Average Age Increases With Patten Signing
March 24, 2009For all those Jim Rome fans out there, it might be time to drop a “freaking” on Lebron James. Lebron Freaking James has recorded his seventh player of the week award. It is also his second in a row. Does that sound like the league’s MVP to you? It sure does to me. The Cavaliers’ official website has the press release.
In four games during the week, James averaged a double-double with 30.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.0 block per game. James has now won the award 20 times in his career, including a career-best seven times this season, three times in 2007-08, twice in 2006-07, five times in 2005-06 and on three occasions during the 2004-05 campaign.
I just don’t know what else to say about it. It is amazing, legendary, incendiary and about a million other words. My friends, I can confidently say that I will talk to my future children and grandchildren about Lebron James the way my father talked about Jim Brown. Even if Lebron leaves town just as Jim Brown quit football to become a movie star it will never diminish the heights he is reaching as a Cavalier for all of us to watch and enjoy right now and next season.
A couple years ago, I told a friend of mine who had fallen out of love with the NBA because of the style of game that if he was ever going to jump back on the bandwagon that it had to be now. Lucky for him, he gave it one more chance. Lebron is one of those once in a generation type of guys, so you never know if or when you will ever get this opportunity again.

[praying that #1 was sarcasm]
#3,
Spoken like a true cleveland sports fan. Both expect and prepare for the worst.
/puts on tinfoil hat
I think that everyone in this town should expect us to win the Ship at this point. Anything less than that is a disappointment I think.

Yes, yes, #1 was sarcasm. I’m always amazed at how quickly Laker fans jump all over anyone who says that anyone may have had a better quarter/game/week/month/season/career than Kobe Bryant. I added the D-Wade talk to answer all the people who could possibly believe that Wade should be MVP over LeBron.
