Lebron’s Complaining vs. Bad Referees
February 11, 2009While We’re Waiting… Mangini’s Family Ties, More Amare Trade Rumors and a Look Back at “No Excuses”
February 12, 2009The Cavs and Suns will go at it tonight at the Q. The Cavs are coming off of a tough night in Indy where they dropped a game to the Pacers. Rock and I may not agree on the last two calls of the game, but we both agreed on the fact that the Cavs never should have put themselves in a position to be fighting for inbound alley-oops to tie the game to send it into overtime.
Anyway, onto tonight’s game with a disappointing Phoenix team. It got me to thinking.
How cool would it be if the Wizard of Hughes, Danny Ferry managed to pull off something spectacular. What if tonight when the game started, Wally walks out of the visitor’s locker room wearing a Suns jersey and Stoudemire walks out of the Cavs locker room to play for the Cavs? Could you imagine any more high drama in the Q in your life (short of clinching an NBA title?) I know it is about as likely to happen as me winning the Mega Millions this week, but it put a smile on my face.
Yes, I know the Cavs would have to give more than just Wally to do the deal. Blah blah blah. Just let me sit and dream about this possibility between now and game time. Ok?

I for one, would not be upset by this at all.
Or, they could start to work on a deal, make them both sit, and then decide it isn’t worth it. 🙂
haha that’s a good option too, especially with Nash out.
wizard of hughes, lol, nice one!
Mo’s dropped 29 in one half. It’s so great having another player who can take the load off LeBron, who knows when to defer to a hot-shooter. And this guy’s a 2-injury all-star?
and in other Mo Williams news, Mo is scheduled to participate in the skills challenge at the all star game, going against Devin Harris, Derrick Rose, and Tony Parker

As a Suns fan, this is one of Amare’s better games in a while. Don’t be fooled.
Amare has the worst +- in the game….
Mo Williams 16-22 on FG’s? Sick. No Steve Nash tonight…
Think we could pry Grant Hill from PHX for the stretch run? They are sort of in a death-battle for that #8 seed in the west with UTAH and Houston…

I mean defensively. It actually looks like he’s trying. He’s boxing out, has three blocks, and looks like he’s making some sort of effort when the Cavs have the ball. It’s not normal.
Frickin Mo.
USA!!! USA!!! USA!!!
Good to see Mo’s still motivated after getting the ASG nod. 44 points in less than 30 minutes is pretty solid. And though we got the win, this weekend’s break is MUCH needed.
The frontcourt going 7-for-20 is not going to get it done on most nights. Big Z not getting the nod as an All-Star may have been the best thing to happen in the long run…
Where’d Z go? Only played 2 minutes? Anyone watching the game have info?
My apologies. The yahoo sports stat sheet listed as Z playing 2 minutes. Further examination showed this is incorrect.
I’m not sure I want Ama’re, he plays 0 defense. Like he doesn’t even try it looks like.
I’ll take Amare in a heartbeat. Did you see our bigs tonight? We’re not winning the finals with that kind of production. Ben Wallace is pretty much worthless right now. Hopefully the break rejuvenates him. Z’s shot was off at the beginning and then he pretty much deferred to the hot hands Mo and Lebron.
Cavs need some low post scoring in the worst way
So I have been thinking of Amare in a trade and I really don’t like his defense nor do I like the fact he wants to be on a team where he is the guy and that ain’t happening in Cleveland. So I started thinking about Shaq…
Here a BIG with low post scoring moves, plays defense, has deferred to other stars in the past, is friends with Lebron, is being shopped, should be gettable with just expiring contracts of Wally and Snow, and his contract while heavy expires in the all important summer of 2010. I am really starting to think we should pull the trigger on that one. Thoughts?
