Kerry Wood to the Tribe?
December 9, 2008Cavaliers Preview Game #21
December 9, 2008It just so happens that while we were on server hiatus, I had the chance to shoot a few questions in the general direction of Browns defensive lineman Shuan Smith. Smith is one of YardBarker’s newest athlete bloggers, and the wonderful folks over at the Y-B threw us a bone during a time of need.
Big thanks again to Yardbarker, and to Smith for taking the time to answer our questions. If you want to keep tabs on the big man and his teammate D’Qwell Jackson, Yardbarker is the place to be. For our brief Q&A, hit it up after the jump.

Do you read any sports blogs? Thoughts on blogging as a medium?
I definitely read the blogs. Some bloggers really know their stuff, some get “insider” intel, and some are hilarious. I also just like to see what people are saying.
What are your favorite things about Cleveland?
Cleveland has been great to me- it’s good to play in a city that really understands and appreciates football. My family and I have been really happy here-I wouldn’t mind retiring in Cleveland.
Do you follow any of the other Cleveland sports teams? If not, which teams do you follow?
I grew up in Brooklyn, so I follow the New York Knicks and the Yankees. As lifetime New York fan, I am prohibited from admitting I follow the Cleveland teams…but I would like to say “Hi, LaBron.” [sic]
What’s your pre-game ritual? Favorite post-game meal?
Before every game, I eat a ham and cheese omelet, then I call my wife and kids right before we head to the stadium. Also, my mom, dad and little brother call me before they go to church.
And lastly, if we just push play on the iPod, what’s the first song that will pop up?
Probably Young Jezzy’s “The Recession.”

This guy is an absolute mauler. I haven’t seen one hint of the guy that Detroit fans claim “Likes to take plays off.” As far as I’ve seen, he plays every play hard. Unfortunately, you can’t say that for more players on this team. I can only wonder what would happen if you had Rogers and Corey Williams lined up side by side in a 4-3, probably complete chaos for an o-line.
That would be true Chris, if they did an interview w/ Rogers. Unfortunately this was with Smith.
[…] team on STO’s Browns football program. I’m willing to bet that he Smith doesn’t touch on this in his blog before the cat comes out of the proverbial media bag. If anyone’s keeping an official list […]
