Indians 2008 Recap Part II – Must Be the Money
October 1, 2008Start Saving Now…
October 2, 2008We’re back with another installment of the Waiting For Next Year podcast. This week, hosts Rick and Craig welcome Todd Dery, formerly of Dump David Dellucci (which was formerly Dump Casey Blake), who is now writing at The World According To TD. Rick and Craig get Todd’s insights on the Cleveland Indians, both looking back at the past season a bit and quite thoroughly looking ahead to the future. It’s a good listen, so check it out.
As always, please send us your questions, comments, thoughts, show ideas, critiques, etc to podcast@waitingfornextyear.com, and once again a special thanks goes out to Bob at Cavs Board for producing the podcast.

Great Podcast, helped me pass the first half hour of work. Keep up the good work.
Wow, do I love hearing people rip on Delucci!
Jensen can’t be the closer next year…Need to get a closer, 2nd baseman, and a rotation pitcher in that order. At least that is what I would do…
Why can’t he? 13-of-14 in saves, a sub-3 ERA as a closer, and 22/6 K/BB ratio.
I liked the podcast much better this week, no talk of trading Cliff Lee. I agree with DP about Jensen Lewis. I think he did pretty good as the closer. And as they said on the Podcast, if we move Peralta to third and Cabrera to short, we just need a 2nd baseman for the infield to be shored up. I would get on the horn with Baltimore and do what I could to get Brian Roberts, he would be great at the top of the order.
Solid work this week.
One minor gripe – the volume level seems really low relative to a lot of other mp3s I have. Maybe you could try to up the gain level of the interviews (I realize phone calls and/or skype can be low volume) relative to the WFNY sound byte – it can blast me out a bit much with the headphone volume up to hear the roundtable discussions.
I think if they stand pat with him like they did Borowski this year, there will be problems. I just don’t think he throws hard enough. Just an opinion but I think it’s a mistake if they go into next year with him as the closer.
Thanks for the comment Ron, I will ask our producer to see what he can do…
