The Browns Will Win If…

October 11, 2008Picks of the Week – October 10, 2008
Continuing on with the one game-one propositional bet scenario, Matt checks in again this week to discuss a little Browns/Giants. As always, this is for recreational purposes only and under no circumstances does WFNY condone gambling. Away we go…

Current Record ATS: 13-4
NY Giants (-8) at Cleveland Browns
For the love of Bernie Kosar let’s sure hope we don’t get embarrassed on Monday Night Football. However I feel in my heart that is exactly what is going to happen. Eli and the gang are going to stuff it down our throats and then follow that up by lighting up the Cleveland Sky like the Cuyahoga River is on fire…again.
Okay, now that I got that out of my system, let’s get serious. The Browns have improved every game; so much so that they actually won a game before the bye week. I have all the confidence in the world that we are going to come out and “defend our house”.
Wow, I could barely type that without laughing.
I think this one will look exactly like the pre-season game. The Giants will jump out to a big lead, and let the Browns have fun by appearing to get themselves back in the game. I’m feeling that the Giants will double up the Browns. So unless score is 16-8, the Giants will definitely cover the spread. My official prediction: Giants 34, Browns 17.
As for the prop bet of the week…
The over/under for Plaxico Burress’ receiving yards is 60.5. This is an easy one. Not only with Burress have at least 60.5 receiving yards, he will have that by half time. I mean come on, have you seen the Browns secondary? To go on even further, I think the Giants will have two receivers with more than 60.5 receiving yards. To go on even more further, I don’t think the Browns will have a receiver close to 60.5 yards. We’ll be lucky if Anderson throws for that many.
Wow, I have realized one thing by writing this Gamblog: If the Browns don’t start looking better soon, they might have to fire Romeo and draft a replacement for DA…Oh wait a second…

BOOM.
That was me deleting the WFNY link out of my bookmarks after reading this post.
OK Im kidding.
I think we shock the NFL this week and pull the upset.
Im a Homer I know. And Im taking my kid (9yrs old) to his first NFL game on Monday so my hopes couldnt be higher.
GO BROWNS!
WFNY… Can I make a request ?
Actually 2?
High School Sports.
Came home from work tonight. (actually an interview, I’m unemployed as of Friday), wife was having a migraine, kid wants to do something, I want to get out of the house, don’t want to drive to Youngstown to see a hometown team…
Game of the week in NEO was where ? I know there was a good HS game out there. Two 5-0 teams .. somewhere?
ALSO… Yahoo Survival pool ? I know there is two. I am in option 2. And still winning. Me and 3 others… Can we not combine the winners? or the folks still in the running. ? . Prob too hard. I know. Piss on it never mind.
Oh Well thanks for listening. You are my only friends. You and the noose I’m making for myself.
Speaking of this noose… How’s this for luck.
Get laid off from Roadway on Friday. (1 of 50 “Staff reductions”) Go to Job fair on Wednesday. It was worthless, I have a MCP and a BS from Kent, they were looking for minimum wage folks. Blew off the Job fair, didn’t hand out 1 of the 15 resumes I printed…. Went to the Summit mall to look for clothes (I’m a sexy bitch.. not gay .. but extremely attractive (tell your single wives friends)) and a quick lunch at O Charley’s, my favorite food court food… Less than 1 HR total inside, and came back to my car to find it minus a Catalytic Converter (4 Runner) … Fun week huh? $200.00 @ hillbilly garage later.. for generic Catalytic converter later… I hate my life, Thank God Captain Morgan is here to help me get through these rougher times.
Oh Well… Thanks for listening “friends”…
Go Browns, Cavs, Buckeyes, and Tribe.
Please don’t call the suicide watch group on me. I have powers like Peter Petrelli and will blow up your children. WFNY just listen to my two requests and I will not use them.
Over Out.
You brainwashed tool.
Well I was right the Cuyahoga River did get set on fire tonight but it was by the Browns…who are these guys that put up 35 points on the super bowl champions? I will take ny 0-2 Gamblog in stride…unless burress gets 2.5 more yards tonight. this should be a fun ride home listening to cleveland sports radio.
