October 31, 2008Ryan Tucker: Done for the Season
November 1, 2008Without a Buckeyes game to look at this week, Matt was given the task of wagering his Monopoly Money on the Cleveland Browns. With this week’s game being huge, I wouldn’t recommend adding to the high blood pressure by placing any wager on this contest. Well, of course unless it has to do with blog headers – that’s perfectly acceptable. As always, WFNY does not condone gambling of any kind; the GAMBLOG is for recreational purposes only. With that said…

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (-1.5)
I think after the tough loss last week vs Penn State my record dropped to 15-6.
This week the Orange Brownies are one and a half point favorites at home versus the Purple Browns. I’m taking my wife to her first ever Browns game and for some reason I don’t think the home team is going to let her down. Jamal Lewis is going to rush for 200 yards versus his former teammates, and the DA coin is going to land on heads which means he will have a solid performance and not lose the game for us. We won’t run away from this division foe however. The Ravens keep it somewhat close and the Browns score a meaningless touchdown at the end for a change and win 28-14. I’ll take the Browns -1.5.
Over/Under for Kellen Winslow Receptions: 3.5
As for the lovely Mr. Winslow, our local soldier. I would personally love to see him get 10 catches and annihilate the three and a half over/under on receptions. But five of the passes DA throws to him will probably get batted down at the line of scrimmage, and he will get hit before the ball gets there on another two, which will leave him with only three catches. Given that, I will go with the under. That is if Romeo even plays him…after all he can’t block or catch as good as Steve Heiden. That’s right. What you’re smelling is sarcasm. No offense Steve, but you couldn’t even out run Jacksonville’s goal line defense last week in the fourth quarter.
