September 11, 2008I don’t mean to step on Scott’s toes since he usually does the Tribe recaps, but if you’re sitting around your TV, turn on STO to see if Scott Lewis can pitch a complete game shut-out in his first major league start.

This was really amazing to see, I think he could have done it. Ashamedly, I was wondering how close Kobayashi would come to ruining such a wonderful start to a career in the bigs.
I dont think you were alone Sam. Lewis didn’t exactly look too comfortable in the dugout, even though the game was still in hand.
I know Lewis had some arm issues, but you gotta give the kid a chance to finish that game. 96 pitches? Let him go out there and yank him at the first sign of trouble. But, the way he was throwing, I don’t think the ’27 Yankees were going to score 7 runs in an inning off of him.
Could have been at the game, really wish I would have gone. Definetly waiting for next year’s series in B-more.
