Catching Up With: Luke Jackson
July 9, 2008You Are The GM…..For Jhonny Peralta
July 10, 2008Paul Byrd, in line for his first win in over a month, has to be absolutely thrilled with Rafael Betancourt right now.
As a matter of fact, I’m not too pleased either. Someone’s not invited to Carl Willis’ house this Christmas…
All of the damage can be found after the jump. Watch at your own risk.

Double-digit losses, folks. Just remember that it was 6-0 Tribe in the seventh. “It’s been that kind of year for Eric Wedge.”

is this even baseball anymore….
earlier, matt underwood made a comment and in that comment used the phrase “the meat of the order” about fransisco, peralta and blake…what the hell is this world coming to…
oh and please, for the love of charlie sheen, don’t post the video!!!!!!!!!!!
My personal favorite was when Wedge pulled Raffy Perez, OUR BEST RELIEVER, before he threw a pitch in the ninth. That was a great move Eric! How many votes will he get this year for Manager of the Year????
Wow. What’s the club record for consecutive losses?
I never thought Paul Byrd would be the victim in this season. It really feels like they won’t win another game all season. Maybe never.
What did I misss?
I think their streak comes from 1931 when they dropped 12 in a row. But if you want to have more claim to fame, the Cleveland Spiders hold the actual worst MLB losing streak record with 24 games in a row.
Ridiculous…I really don’t know what to think of this franchise anymore. It seems like just yesterday – seriously – that this team was just ONE WIN AWAY from the World Series, and possibly the world championship. Now they’re going absolutely nowhere.
To be honest, I was more shocked when I heard that Byrd had the team up 6-1 than hearing (2 IMs later) that the bullpen had blown it.
So glad this game wasn’t nationall televised, my wife wouldn’t have been happy with my string of profanities. Just kidding – she’d be yelling with me.
You think we can get STO to start broadcasting the Aeros instead of the Indians?
Added the vids, guys. Sorry for the delay.
Is it wrong to actually enjoy the implosion of this team? Maybe after 30 years of frustration I’ve finally had enough. Or, maybe it’s the only way for Wedge and crew to get canned.
AUUUGH! MR’AAAAUGH! WHY!?
I’m sure glad I bought season tickets this year. What was I thinking. Akrons closer and Id actually enjoy watching the game. DCBucks: I know what you mean. I figure with were gonna lose lose big. Maybe well get another movie made after us and then use the revenue to get CC back
I can’t imagine how deflated these guys must feel. By now, I imagine they’re going into games fully expecting to lose, which of course, will not do any favors in helping to win.
I think that it’s (been) Betancourt’s turn to be sent down to work on mechanics, adjustment, velocity, whatever.
LM – or he just needs a set of these…
Anyone know if Betancourt has any options left? If he does, I would be all for sending him down for a bit. See if hitting the ‘reset’ button works on him.
Scott – I love it. At least humor helps in a time like this.
Oh — who else is a bit tired of hearing/reading these words from Wedge’s mouth?
“It is what it is,” manager Eric Wedge said of the Indians’ place in the standings.
LM-
We just need to fire his ass and get over it. But hey at least hes not the Rockies manager and telling us if we don’t like it don’t come to the games. Actually, on second though I wish he would tell us that.
Let’s get Mike Hargrove!….no, wait….I hear Damon Jones wants to coach a team! Thats a smooth transition, right? Basketball to baseball? Anyone?
I’ll be over here with my head down, Indians cap lowered over my eyes, crying in a big glass of Great Lakes beer. I will truly be waiting for next year…
CJG, just make sure it isnt Imperial DG… That shit’s expensive, man.
Just had to post the local Detroit video….
At this point, watching these games is about as fun as watching Tyrone Hill shooting three pointers…
just to point out, charlie sheen had 2, thats right, 2 total mentions this post…AWESOME
