March 25, 2008Browns Receivers Stack Up Nicely
March 25, 2008I casually joked earlier today that the Tribe will head back to Cleveland, tossing in the Jacobs Field name that many Indians fans will still declare regardless of what the signs inundating the confines read. Personally, it will take a while for me to call it anything but “The Jake,” and that’s not even due to a closet boycott of any sort. I still call Macy’s “Kaufmann’s” from time to time, and I’m sure the words “The Gund” have came from my mouth countless times during this current basketball season – and that name change happened quite a while ago.
For some other reactions, check out the comments. If you’re unfavorable of this move, you’re not alone. Trust me.

I still catch myself calling Macy’s “Strauss” cause that’s what it was before Kaufmann’s at our mall.
How long do you think ’til “The Prog” catches on? lol
By the time it catches on, it’ll be changed to “Wal-Mart Field.” They’re going to own the world, eventually. Plus the sign already looks like a giant blue cart-grabbers vest…
I never thought you guys would link to comments on Cleveland.com. Have you seen the kind of people that post on there?
The comments are the equivalent of the “Rabble, rabble, rabble” on South Park.
it’s funny, if you talk to die hard indian fan that works at progressive, it’s like Jacob’s Field was renamed the Vatican. i have a few friends that work at progressive, and all they do now is spout off at the mouth at how “great a move it was for the team”, and “my job has some meaning to it now” and “it’s opened up so many opportunities for me”. really? ur job has meaning now? glad the indians could be there for you.
@ MoBot: With their beady eyes and flapping little heads?
And Patrick wins the prestigious “Comment of the Day” award, with Scott coming in a close second.
