One on one with Jeremy Coyle…
March 27, 2008Worried about that Opening Day weather?
March 27, 2008The first game of the series will take place Sept. 1, 2018, in Knoxville in the season opener for both teams that year. It will be followed by a Sept. 7, 2019, game at Columbus.
“Tennessee-Ohio State is a great natural match-up for two tradition-laden schools that are less than 400 miles apart,” said Steve Snapp, OSU associate athletic director. “Playing the Volunteers for the first time during the regular season will be a great series for our fans.”
Tennessee will represent another conference that consistently gets more credit than the Big Ten in the SEC. This game will allegedly be the first “on-campus” meeting between the Buckeyes and an SEC opponent since World War II. These two went at it in 1996 (1995 season) during the Citrus Bowl. Unfortunately, the final score was in Tennessee’s favor, 20-14. This bowl loss was after a Heisman-winning season from Eddie George. Quite the coincidence.

I could sworn I saw somewhere that Army asked out of their commitment for ’09 and ’10. Anyone else see this?
Have no info on army.
Though I did hear one of UM top D linemen just withdrew due to Rodiguez.
Not sure if it was on 850 or neighbor blabbing… or even Capt. Morgan whispering in my ear.
OK.. it may have been Capt. Morgan again …
It was O Line, not D.

Ok. Here it is…
Yeah, Boren…there are rumors of an OSU transfer, but those are serious speculation at this point. Go to MGoBlog or Maize and Brew and have a good laugh.
A D-Lineman did indeed leave yesterday. I haven’t seen the name yet, but it definitely happened.
As for Boren….lets just say that the OSU coaching staff has a pretty good feeling on this one. Kinda like how they had a good feeling with Pryor, if you get what I’m saying.
I really look forward to this matchup. Unfortunately The OSU isnt in Cleveland, so when it comes to football I bleed orange. Mostly orange and brown but there is some orange and white too.
