February 1, 2008Indians Announce New Contract!!!
February 1, 2008Cleveland Browns fans, our beloved quarterback from this past year may be looking for a new contract. He may be looking to capitalize on a year where he helped turn around a franchise that was destined for the cellar only one week into the season. But do you think that stops him from enjoying life? Heck no.
Anderson has spent the last few days out in Arizona – along with the millions of others that have converged on the site of Super Bowl XLII. While others prefer to spend their time at parties hosted by Maxim or the like, DA took some time to participate in a little bowling exposition with MJD of Yahoo! Sports NFL Blog.
It appears that Anderson was destined for greatness in the pink-and-blue lights. MJD notes that, while being an all-around great guy, the fact that he showed up wearing his own bowling shirt – name embossed and all – made things that much better.
…Derek Anderson popped in shortly thereafter, and for 7:40 am, he was in a fantastic mood. He’s as outgoing and engaging a guy as I’ve seen all week. It’s immediately clear that there’s no pretense to him, and that he’s a fun guy to be around. Actually, I think it’s written in the Bible somewhere that if you’ve ever been in a quarterback battle with Charlie Frye, you’re never allowed to be arrogant.
This concerns me, though: The guy is wearing a bowling shirt. It’s even got his damn name on it. It’s like sitting down at a poker table with a guy who can shuffle his chips. He might not even be able to bowl, but … if this was an attempt to psyche me out, it worked.
Touché. In a mini-interview, we find out that Anderson is aware of his internet nickname, though he does not personally read many blogs. We will have to work on this. Anderson owns a t-shirt with his nickname on it, but left the venue with a win, 60-45. While I have no clue as to how this shindig is actually scored, a win is a win for our resident signal-caller.
Does anyone out there think that a Derek Anderson bowling shirt would sell in stores? I sure do. I think we need to get this done. With that said, well done, Derek.

Do you know how many Derek Anderson bowling shirts I could sell in Lima, Ohio?
I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you.

Hilarious. Things to do……#1) make DA aware of this site (even though I’m none to kind to him, in general), and #2) sell DA bowling shirts.
